Itinerary

Day 1 // Amarillo, TX

Leave the Midwest in the dust as we head towards bigger things. Settle in for the night in Amarillo, Texas.

Day 2 // Santa Fe, NM

Enter the heart of Santa Fe on a city tour this morning. Considered the oldest capital in the United States, its multiplicity of cultures has built on each other to create a colorful patchwork of a city. It's even nicknamed "The City Different!" See historic churches, buildings, and interesting sites contributing to the city's heritage. Tour the famous Loretto Chapel, which boasts a miraculous staircase believed to have been built by St. Joseph. It's simple, beautiful craftsmanship is a true feat of carpentry and architecture that is a wonder to behold. This evening, take advantage of free time in Santa Fe Plaza, which is flavored with rich history and Old West flair.

Day 3 // Williams, AZ

Travel to Arizona, stopping in the town of Winslow, which has a public park dedicated to the Eagles' song “Take It Easy” which mentions the town by name. Snap a photo or shop around before continuing our journey.

Day 4 // Grand Canyon, AZ

Hit the rails for a ride on the Grand Canyon Railway for a one-way journey into Grand Canyon Village to grab lunch on your own and explore. This evening, we'll take in the beauty and grandeur of the Grand Canyon on a Sunset Pink Jeep Tour. Dinner is included tonight before we settle into tonight's hotel located on the canyon's southern rim.

Day 5 // Sedona, AZ

Enjoy a scenic drive through Grand Canyon National Park along the spectacular Desert Viewpoint Drive with panoramic views of the Grand Canyon. See some of the finest handmade Native American art in the Southwest and enjoy lunch at the Cameron Trading Post. Find a souvenir from among the gorgeous pottery, woven baskets, carved kachina dolls, and woven rugs, all available from local artists. Enjoy a fantastic evening at the Blazin' M Ranch. Our night at the Blazin' M will be unforgettable with westernthemed shopping, activities, a chuckwagon dinner, and a stage show!

Day 6 // Tucson, AZ

This morning, we will step back in time on the meticulously restored Verde Canyon Railroad for a fantastic 4-hour, 20 mile journey through 110 years of history. You'll see amazing views from the deck of one of the special open-air viewing cars!

Day 7 // Tucson, AZ

Explore the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, a nature-filled experience with gardens, aquariums, and outdoor animal exhibits. After lunch, explore the Pima Air & Space Museum, with 80 acres of outdoor displays and 250,000 square feet of indoor hangars featuring significant aircraft throughout history. Fascinating exhibits display artifacts of the Space Race, Air Force experimentation, and modern drone technology. Finish the day with an Old West-style dinner.

Day 8 // Las Cruces, NM

Dedicated to preserving the town's raucous history, a tour of the Tombstone Courthouse will shine light on the history of this mining town. The two-story Victorian courthouse has been converted to a museum filled with memorabilia that you'll find fascinating! Witness a reenactment at the O.K. Corral, the legendary site of the thirty-second shootout that happened in 1881. Enjoy lunch before continuing our journey.

Day 9 // Lubbock, TX

Get ready to go spelunking! Visit Carlsbad Caverns National Park, where we'll explore the interior of Guadalupe Mountains caves in New Mexico. Carlsbad contains “the Big Room,” the largest single cave chamber by volume in North America, host to astonishing limestone formations that feel like something from another world!
