Want to go big places? We do to!
In fact, we’ve built our whole business around taking people places. Village Travel is a family-owned business headquartered in Wichita, Kansas. By sticking to our mission of “providing clients with a fun, worry-free travel experience through exceptional standards in safety, customer service and equipment” we have been able to expand our service offerings and add new locations consistently during our 40 years in business.
Today, we operate throughout Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Missouri with offices in Wichita, Salina, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Springdale, Fort Smith and Springfield. Our coaches travel to all 48 contiguous states, as well as Alaska and Canada, each year.
Our team of full and part time drivers drove 7.3 million miles in 2019, providing services for sports team charters, senior group tours, scheduled line services, employee shuttles, military moves, and cross-country adventures for nearly 8,000 groups. Our entertainer division, Village Coach, also transported hundreds of musicians, theatre groups and comedians on months-long tours.

Are semis more your style?! Get behind the wheel of a 2021 Kenworth T680. Our newest venture, Village Transport, operates semi tractors throughout the United States. The majority of your time will be spent pulling the infamous blue semi trailers with a smile for everyone’s favorite online retailer, Amazon. We are rapidly growing this division, and are searching for qualified drivers to have on standby as the division expands.
Our shop team, comprised of mechanics, bus cleaners and parts staff, are crucial to our success. Experienced Diesel Mechanics keep our fleet purring and running as they should. Rebuilding generators, repairing damages, running diagnostics and regular maintenance are all part of this important job. As we expand, we often hire experienced, trained mechanics, or those with mechanical aptitude who are willing to work hard and learn the ins-and-outs of taking care of our fleet of MCI and Prevost motorcoaches.
If you love being around vehicles and have an eye for detail – you’ll be a great Coach Cleaner. You’ll be responsible for detailing and maintaining the fleet in between uses, wiping, vacuuming and washing until sparkling. Our Cleaner’s work is often a customer’s first impression – and it’s important to leave a good one!
Accountants, Dispatchers, Tour Coordinators, Charter Salespeople, Reservationists…these are just a few of the positions that keep things running smoothly OFF the road. It takes all types to keep the books balanced, payroll processed and reservations confirmed. Dispatchers relay information to and from drivers, serving as a resource for them on the road. Tour Reservations must be detail and people-oriented to make sure everything is processed correctly and customers leave happy! While most administrative positions operate out of our Wichita, Kansas location, we do have Dispatcher, Charter Sales, and Reservationist positions become available in our other locations on occasion.
