Itinerary
Day 1 // Colby, KS
Travel west, where the landscape is as untamed as the broncs in the arena. Stop in Colby for a tasty dinner and our hotel for the night.
Day 2 // Cheyenne, WY
The action starts today at the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo. Broncs, bulls, bolos, and bozos keep us entertained, and the rest of the day is ours to watch street performers, enjoy carnival food or help ourselves to midway fun. Then we'll end the day with a tasty dinner.
Day 3 // Cheyenne, WY
Day three begins with the Grand Parade. The parade is a Cheyenne tradition featuring fabulous floats, horse-drawn vehicles and marching bands. Then, visit the Old West Museum, full of cowboy memorabilia and featuring over 150 horse-drawn vehicles. Spend the rest of the day watching more exciting performances at the rodeo.
Day 4 // North Platte, NE
Start the day at the famous pancake breakfast, sharing this experience with thousands of other rodeo enthusiasts. Get a look behind the scenes with a “Behind the Chutes“ tour. Follow the path of the bulls and broncs as the animals are rounded up and threaded through the maze of gates on their way to the chutes and out into the arena. Rise to the top of Golden Spike Tower, overlooking the world's largest rail yard and symbolizing westward expansion. Dinner is included tonight.
Day 5 // Home
The adventure is over, but on the ride home you can swap stories after a spectacular classic western experience.
