Day 1 // Colorado Springs, CO
Today will be a driving day as we carve our way across the Midwest and watch the landscape shift from gentle rolling plains to the beautiful Rocky Mountains! Check into our hotel tonight in Colorado Springs where we'll be spending four consecutive nights!
Day 2 // Colorado Springs, CO
Start the day with some shopping and lunch on your own at the Castle Rock Outlet Mall. This afternoon, see the breathtaking sculptures at the Michael Garman Museum & Gallery. This gallery is a captivating place that celebrates American heroes through over 500 handmade sculptures. Lastly, experience Victorian life on our tour of Miramont Castle* with 30 rooms with authentic Victorian furnishings including the Queen’s Parlour Tea Room. Tonight, see the “Magic of Lights” Christmas Light Tour at Pikes Peak International Raceway. This holiday lights experience features favorite holiday scenes and characters using the latest technology and digital animations all from the comfort of our motorcoach! Dinner is included tonight.
Day 3 // Colorado Springs, CO
Today, walk on the wild side with a Colorado Wolf & Wildlife Center Tour.* Set out on a walking tour with a knowledgeable guide and learn why it is important to preserve the diminishing wildlife. Tours through the sanctuary are fun and educational, and you are guaranteed an up-close view of the majestic and elusive wolf. The Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum is located downtown in the beautifully restored 1903 El Paso County Courthouse. This museum preserves the history and culture of the Pikes Peak region, and features permanent exhibits on the history of the area and changing exhibits on various topics. Then experience dinner and a show at the incredible Flying W Ranch.
Day 4 // Colorado Springs, CO
Today we will start the day with a ride on the Pikes Peak Cog Railway Many have described the summit of Pikes Peak as the “gateway to heaven,” with views that span the Collegiate and Sangre de Cristo mountain ranges, the Continental Divide, the mining town of Cripple Creek. On a clear day you may even see the skyscrapers of Denver. This afternoon, relax and maybe do some shopping and lunch on your own in Manitou Springs. Then our dinner is a special holiday treat with the Glen Eyrie Madrigal Banquet.* With a more than thirty-year history, this spectacular holiday event continues to be a Colorado classic. Set in the grandeur of The Great Hall of The Castle, the 16th century-style banquet and performance are sure to inspire your heart for this Christmas season.
Day 5 // Home
Settle in for our ride home. Our trip may have ended, but hopefully, you will be ready to enter the rest of your holiday season with exorbitant cheer!
