Itinerary

The great Northwest spreads out to the ocean, encompassing mountain ranges, charming atmospheres, lighthouses, and agriculture. See the grand scope of nature as well as the interesting culture that personifies the Pacific Northwest.

Day 1 // Denver, CO

Our journey to the Pacific Coast begins today. Admire the miles of open land from comfortable seats as we head West.

Day 2 // Grand Junction, CO

A ride on the Georgetown Loop Railroad starts our morning off right. A tour at the Suncrest Orchard Alpacas farm will give us an insider's view of what it takes to go into raising these interesting animals and how their wool is cut, dyed and woven into fine garments and items.

Day 3 // Ely, NV

Passing through miles of plateaus and desert lands in Utah, we can have greater respect for those who journeyed this route by wagon train many years ago. A lesser-known historical site will break up our drive and give us things to ponder as we visit the Topaz Internment Camp Museum.

Day 4 // Carson City, NV

Nevada's desert is our scenery today. The expansive terrain hosts over 2,000 species of plants and animals, some of which are not found anywhere else in the world. Tonight, a cruise on Lake Tahoe makes our long drive worth it, with a great dinner and live music to relax the body and the mind.

Day 5 // Redding, CA

Virginia City has a unique history of its own. It started as a mining camp and expanded rapidly after the discovery of the Comstock Silver Lode nearby. Be sure to check out the Ponderosa Saloon as you explore the city on your own – you will feel like you stepped back to the days of old. Our journey continues to beautiful ocean views and an included dinner tonight.

Day 6 // Crescent City, CA

Today, behold the awe inspiring sight of Redwood National Park. Home to trees towering over 300 ft. tall, we will end our day with a SkyTrail gondola ride through the magnificent tree tops.

Day 7 // Coos Bay, OR

We've made it to the ocean! A jet boat tour along a historic mail route shows us how they used to distribute parcels and letters before the roads were built. From here, we follow the coastline further north. Be sure to pack binoculars so you can keep your eyes peeled for captivating marine life over the next few days on our coastal adventure. Lunch will be included today.

Day 8 // Lincoln City, OR

Ocean and beaches and lighthouses, oh my! One of the surprising landscapes in Oregon is the expansive dunes, and we will get to explore the dunes on a giant dune buggy ride. A whale-watching cruise this afternoon will be a great way to end our time on the coast before we turn inland again.

Day 9 // Vancouver, WA

The Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum is the home of The Spruce Goose! More than 150 aircraft, spacecraft, and other flying artifacts tell the story in this fascinating exhibit. This afternoon we have more water to see, this time in the form of the Multnomah Falls. More than 2 million people come to see this spectacular waterfall every year and you are about to see why!

Day 10 // Sequim, WA

We head north towards the Olympic National Park today. Known for its wild beauty, boasting rugged coastlines, rainforest, and mountains, it is the most diverse national park in the Pacific Northwest. On our way, we will break up our drive with a stop at one of the lavender farms the northern area of Washington is known for.

Day 11 // Seattle, WA

Seattle is a fascinating city full of small eclectic neighborhoods and large skyscrapers. After lunch and shopping at Pike Place Market, a step-on guide will join our bus today to take us on a city-tour of Seattle. This evening it will only take you 43 seconds to ride the elevator from the ground floor to the top level of the 605 foot Seattle Space Needle, where you'll stand a whopping 520 feet above Seattle's surface.

Day 12 // Home

We've covered a lot of ground on this journey and had a unique opportunity to view some of the different terrains our country has to offer. Prairie, desert, ocean, small towns, and big cities. Today we will board our return flight home!
