Itinerary
Every year over a million Sandhill Cranes migrate through the Platte River Valley in Nebraska. This year we will get the rare chance to witness this wonder of nature together.
Day 1 // Grand Island, NE
Every year over a million Sandhill Cranes migrate through the Platte River Valley in Nebraska. This year we will get the rare chance to witness this wonder of nature together. A group dinner will be included this evening before our Sunset Blind Experience. Set out through the field for the blinds where we have front row seats to watch the birds come in to roost for the night.
Day 2 // Grand Island, NE
We begin this morning with a local guide joining us to drive around the fields where the cranes are preparing for their day. This afternoon we will head to one of the largest living history museums in the Midwest, the Stuhr Museum, where we will receive a presentation about the crane migration patterns and activities. Afterwards, we will receive a guided tour of the museum's extensive grounds. Get some rest tonight, we have an early start tomorrow morning!
Day 3 // Home
This morning we'll be waking up before the sun to get settled into our bird blind once again. Watch as the Sandhill Cranes begin to stir with the Sunrise, before taking off to glean for their breakfast. Afterwards, we will also take off and begin our journey back home, with another bucket-list item checked off the box!
