The Smoky Mountains burst with fall colors, making the area a beautiful place to discover the nature and culture of the people who call it home. Enjoy a classic Autumn tour to Nashville, Asheville, Pigeon Forge and Louisville!
Day 1 // Little Rock, AR
Today we'll start our journey to the Great Smoky Mountains, where the tallest mountains in the Appalachian chain serve as a backdrop for a spectacular display of colorful trees bursting with fall color. Travel as far as Little Rock before stopping for the evening
Day 2 // Nashville, TN
Walk into the legacy of greatness during an in-depth tour of Sun Studio, known as "The Birthplace of Rock 'n' Roll". This historic and still-active studio launched the careers of Elvis, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and many more. Lunch will be served today at the world-famous BB Kings Blues Club before continuing our way to Nashville. We'll make our grand entrance into the Music City with dinner and a show at the Nashville Nightlife Dinner Theatre.
Day 3 // Asheville, NC
Explore the vibrant city of Nashville with a local guide and learn how Music City earned its reputation as the songwriting capital of the world. Our city tour highlights everything related to country music in this mecca for music fans; homes of the stars, studios and legendary sites. Lunch will be served today at the world-famous Paula Deen's Family Kitchen before continuing our way to Asheville.
Day 4 // Pigeon Forge, TN
A small town that has attracted visionaries, poets and explorers, Asheville thrives amidst its beautiful landscape and fall foliage. Asheville's most famous visitor, George Vanderbilt, created an architectural masterpiece. Biltmore Estate is witness to the wealth and style of this 19th century railroad family. The mansion's 250 rooms, exquisite gardens, award-winning winery, magnificent stables and 65 fireplaces are ours to explore today. Lunch is here on the grounds of the Biltmore. Become ensconced in the laid back mountain culture famous to the Smoky Mountain region as we travel to Pigeon Forge.
Day 5 // Pigeon Forge, TN
Enjoy a journey to the upper reaches of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park with a tour through a unique botanical paradise. Experience spectacular, panoramic views of the Smokies. View beautiful mountain overlooks, including Newfound Gap where Roosevelt dedicated the National Park and Sugarland's Visitors Center. Then step back in time at the historic Old Mill, nestled upon the banks of the Little Pigeon River. This impressive structure has been turning since 1830. The Old Mill is home to restaurants and shops where more than a million shoppers a year stop in for tasty treats, but its rich history gives an unforgettable ambiance to the city. Tonight, enjoy a scrumptious dinner and phenomenal music served with a side of family-friendly humor at Dolly Parton's Stampede.
Day 6 // Louisville, KY
Our first stop, the Kentucky Artisan Center celebrates many Kentucky artisans through sales, exhibits, events, demonstrations and information about Berea and other Kentucky destinations. Then, head to Louisville to explore the spirited Kentucky tradition of bourbon-making during a distillery tour. The alluring smell of bourbon sleeping inside the aging warehouses welcomes you as we walk among the rolling bourbon barrels.
Day 7 // St. Louis, MO
This morning, tour the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, home to America's favorite custom baseball bats. Later, experience the exciting and colorful spectacle of thoroughbred racing during a tour of the legendary Churchill Downs, home of the greatest two minutes in sports, the Kentucky Derby. The Kentucky Derby Museum showcases the colorful history of the world's most famous racetrack. Then continue through familiar countryside to overnight just outside of St. Louis.
Day 8 // Home
Smoky Mountain memories linger as we travel home.
