Itinerary

See some of the most iconic features of the Southwest! Visit a whopping four national parks - Arches, Capitol Reef, Bryce, and Zion plus see highlights like Horseshoe Bend, Monument Valley, Lake Powell, Antelope Canyon, and more!

Day 1 // Denver, CO

Cross the Great Plains and arrive in the Denver area where you will check in to your hotel. This evening, join the group for a welcome dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 2 // Moab, UT

Depart this morning and travel West through the beautiful Colorado Rockies. Lunch is included along the way to Arches National Park, known for its natural sandstone formations and wonderful hiking trails. This evening, arrive in Moab for good night's rest.

Day 3 // Bryce Canyon City, UT

The day unfolds with a breathtaking drive from Moab to Dead Horse Point where the red-rock canyons seem to stretch on forever. From there, our adventure continues to Capitol Reef National Park where we pause to have a scenic picnic lunch surrounded by soaring cliffs and quiet beauty. The journey then carries us along legendary Scenic Highway 12-“the All-American Road”- winding past dramatic overlooks at every turn. As the sun fades, take in the gorgeous hues and intricate shapes of Bryce canyon National Park before checking into our hotel for the evening and dinner on your own.

Day 4 // Kanab, UT

This morning take a scenic drive through Red Canyon State Park on your way to see Utah's oldest and most famous national park, Zion National Park. Explore East Zion and pass through the amazing Mt. Carmel Highway Tunnel which provides a stunning entrance to Zion Canyon. There will be time for lunch on your own and the shuttle system will allow everyone to explore at their own pace. In the late afternoon, reboard your motorcoach and depart Zion for a scenic drive to the small town of Kanab, also known as “Little Hollywood” due to the many movies and television shows filmed in the area.

Day 5 // Page, AZ

Depart Kanab and travel across the Arizona Strip before climbing the beautiful Kaibab Plateau. In the afternoon, return north and stop along the way at Jacob Lake Lodge, an old-fashion family-run lodge started in 1923, for a rest stop and to view Navajo Arts & Crafts. In the afternoon, return to Page and top the day off by touring the mesmerizing undulations of Antelope Canyon. A Navajo guide will provide insights and perfect photo opportunities as you explore this magical slot canyon.

Day 6 // Page, AZ

Take in the stunning sights and stories of the Colorado River in Glen Canyon, rich in natural and human history on a Horseshoe Bend Float Trip. Your trip starts with a 1-hour bus ride to Lees Ferry where you will journey to Petroglyph Beach to view petroglyphs or take a refreshing dip in the cool river. Cruise through the iconic Horseshoe Bend, spot rainbow trout in the clear water, nesting birds along the banks, and even big horn sheep. In the late afternoon, arrive at Lake Powell National Recreation Area and enjoy a scenic cruise on Lake Powell. A combination of emerald waters, towering red rock cliffs and blue skies creates a unique and breathtaking scene.

Day 7 // Winslow, AZ

This morning depart Lake Powell and travel to famed Monument Valley, a sacred place to the Navajo. Arrive at historic Goulding's Lodge, meet your Navajo guide and board a 4-wheel drive vehicle for a scenic tour of Monument Valley. After an amazing tour, enjoy an included lunch at Goulding's Lodge where you can try a Navajo Taco or traditional Navajo Stew. In the afternoon, travel south and pass through the land of the Hopi arriving at the Hopi Cultural Center. Learn about the culture and history of the Hopi and how they have existed in this area for over a thousand years. Enjoy an evening at La Posada in Winslow. This beautiful hotel has been lovingly restored and offers a nostalgic step back in time to the glory days of travel.

Day 8 // Santa Rosa, NM

Travel east and enter the “Land of Enchantment,” New Mexico, as you travel to Acoma Pueblo Sky City. Enjoy an included lunch and tour at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center. This afternoon, arrive in Santa Rosa.

Day 9 // Home

As we make our way home, take time to reflect on the remarkable beauty and rich history we experienced throughout the Southwest. From towering red rock canyons to vibrant Native American culture, the memories of this journey will last a lifetime.
