Itinerary

Day 1 // O'Fallon, IL

Today is a travel day as we begin our journey, enjoying the scenery along the way and taking time to relax as we make our way toward Illinois.

Day 2 // Cincinnati, OH

This morning, we visit the Underground Railroad Freedom Center. Explore powerful exhibits that share stories of courage, resilience, and the pursuit of freedom that shaped American history.

Day 3 // Pittsburg, PA

We travel to Pittsburgh for a tour of the iconic Steelers Stadium. Discover the team's rich legacy, explore behind-the-scenes areas, and experience one of the most famous venues in professional football.

Day 4 // Somerset, PA,

This morning, step aboard a vintage-style trolley for a fully guided historical tour of Pittsburgh. Travel through Downtown and the North Shore, then enjoy a one-way ride up the Duquesne Incline to Mt. Washington. The journey continues with a visit to the Quecreek Mine Rescue Site, followed by time for reflection at the Flight 93 National Memorial. The day concludes with a relaxing dinner.

Day 5 // York, PA

Depart for the East Broad Top Railroad, where we tour the Historic Shop Complex and discover the inner workings of a late 19th- and early 20th-century railroad. Enjoy a scenic train ride through rolling hills, forests, and pastoral farmland, this afternoon we will explore the Pennsylvania State Capitol for a guided tour before enjoying dinner.

Day 6 // York, PA

This morning, ride on to the historic Strasburg Rail Road, the oldest continuously operating railroad in North America, for a nostalgic ride through Lancaster County. Then enjoy an Amish Experience with a step-on guide through the scenic farmlands. before enjoying the Dutch Apple Dinner Theater for a live performance of Oklahoma!

Day 7 // York, PA

Experience the sights and sounds of a real, working dairy farm this morning at Kreider Farms. Continue on to Mount Hope Estate for a memorable farm-to-table lunch, followed by a wine tasting experience. The afternoon includes a tour of Seltzer's Smokehouse Meats, and the day concludes with dinner.

Day 8 // York, PA

Board the historic Gettysburg Railway and step aboard the original Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus train cars, beautifully restored into luxurious passenger coaches. Journey through the countryside surrounding the Battle of Gettysburg and other notable landmarks. After returning to the station, enjoy free time, lunch, and the opportunity to view the vintage railcars up close. This afternoon we visit the Eisenhower Historical Site, the weekend retreat for President Dwight D Eisenhower in the peaceful farm setting near Gettysburg.

Day 9 // York, PA

Depart in the morning and travel to New Freedom to board the Northern Central Railway for a scenic train excursion. Once aboard, sit back, relax and enjoy and included lunch. After our historic ride on the 1950’s era rail cars we will visit Wyndridge Farm for dinner and entertainment for our final evening of the tour.

Day 10 // Home

We have seen and learned so much and now we will board our flight home to bring our inspiring journey to a close.
