Whether you’re headed to Branson for the weekend or across the globe for the trip of a lifetime, we want your first Village Travel adventure to be easy. Here’s everything you need to know before you go!

Our most popular starter trips — a great introduction to the Village way.

Before You Depart

Watch your departure video. For your first trip, we recommend watching the orientation video for your specific departure location — Wichita, Oklahoma City, or Tulsa. It walks you through exactly what to expect on departure day, from parking to boarding.

Packing

  • Pack for your Activity Level. Every tour lists an Activity Level from Moderate to Challenging — a great way to know what to pack and how to prepare.
  • Consider Travel Protection. Life happens! Our Travel Protection plans help cover the unexpected, so ask your Reservationist about adding it to your trip.
  • Double-check your documents. Most domestic tours just need a valid photo ID, but some of our international adventures require a passport (and occasionally a visa). Check your tour details or give us a call at 800-333-0312 if you’re not sure.
  • How Many Bags to Bring. We allow each passenger to check one large suitcase on the tour. This bag will be tagged, handled, and accounted for by Village for the duration of the tour. Smaller carry-on bags may be brought along and stored either under the coach or above the seats, but those bags will be your responsibility to handle.
  • Pack a Jacket. A jacket is always a good idea to pack — weather can change quickly.

Departure Day

  • Arrive early. Give yourself plenty of time to park, check in, and get settled before departure; we recommend an hour.
  • Bring your confirmation and ID. Your Tour Director will check you in at the departure center, so keep these handy.
  • Tag your luggage. Our crew will load your bags onto the coach for you. Please make sure the name tags we provided are attached and visible on top.
  • Parking. You’ll park in a gated lot for added security.

Life on the Road

  • Settle in. Our coaches come with on-board Wi-Fi, charging ports, and plenty of room to stretch out, so relax and enjoy the ride.
  • Follow your Tour Director’s lead. They’ll keep you posted on stops, timing, and any changes along the way.
  • Meet your fellow travelers. Many lifelong friendships (and travel buddies) have started on a Village Travel coach!
  • Questions along the way? Your Tour Director is your go-to resource for anything you need during the trip.

Coming Home

  • Grab all your belongings. before you step off the coach — take one last look under your seat!
  • Tell us about your trip. We love hearing your stories and photos — We will send you a link two days after your trip to fill out.
  • Start planning your next adventure. Once you’ve traveled with us once, we’re willing to bet it won’t be your last!
