Tour Overview
For nearly three decades, a single wall split a city, a country, and the world in two — and today we step into that history firsthand. We travel to Kansas City’s historic Union Station for an immersive exhibit tracing the rise of the wall in 1961, the lives fractured on either side of it, and its dramatic fall in 1989. Original wall segments, personal stories, and rare artifacts bring the Cold War era vividly to life. Then we will have lunch at Union Station. We’re home this evening with a deeper understanding of a world that was — and the wall that came down.
Some tour days are longer than others but move at a consistent pace. Passengers should be able to easily climb a flight of stairs, stand for short periods of time and walk for reasonable distances, possibly over uneven terrain (cobblestones, gravel, etc).
