Wichita Office Moves After 36 Years

On October 11th, Wichita employees made the long-awaited move into the new corporate office. Excitement was in the air as employees packed up their things and settled into their new work spaces. Customers also joined in the excitement, six tour groups departed from the new facility in the first 3 days of occupancy. The new Departure Center includes two enclosed, heated bays and a lounge área that seats up to 100 people. Tour customers are able to drive through the building to drop off their luggage, before driving into the secured customer parking lot. The majority of Village’s administrative staff operate out of the corporate headquarters as well.

The 50,000 SF, state-of-the-art facility signifies the success that Village has experienced throughout the last 39 years. After more than three decades and many additions to the 21st Street office, we have officially outgrown the space.

“The original founders built a building literally in the back of a wheat field when they had just four coaches,” said Jeff Arensdorf, Village CEO. “That building had been expanded three times over the years to about 20,000 square feet with five bays, so we just outgrew it. Plus, the town exploded with growth, and we were located on the third-busiest intersection in the city, so it was hard to get coaches in and out.”

The newly constructed facility, located at 4255 N Ridge Road, has parking for up to 17 coaches indoors, and an additional 52 coaches outside, in an area that also includes block heaters and shore power for entertainer coaches. The new shop space includes four pits, a lift, ample parts storage, and a wash bay that can accommodate two coaches. There is space to add a paint booth and body shop in the future, so that repairs can be done in-house.

The new Wichita facility will serve Village well for many years to come.
