Itinerary
This scenic Colorado loop dazzles in the fall as golden aspen treeswith a vibrant tapestry of autumn color. The journey takes you from the striking red rock formations of the Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak. Experience the engineering marvel of the Royal Gorge Bridge, enjoy nostalgic train rides on the historic Leadville and Georgetown railroads, and more.
Day 1 // Colorado Springs, CO
Your journey begins with a travel day to Colorado Springs.
Day 2 // Colorado Springs, CO
The morning begins at the Manitou Cliff Dwellings, where you can explore preserved Anasazi architecture. Next, head to Garden of the Gods for a guided tour of the iconic red rock formations, followed by lunch. In the afternoon, you'll board the Pikes Peak Cog Railway for a scenic journey to the summit.
Day 3 // Colorado Springs, CO
Start today in Canon City at the spectacular Royal Gorge Bridge & Park, where you'll walk across the suspension bridge, enjoy lunch, and ride the gondola back. Afterward we will visit the Glen Eyrie Castle for a guided tour, where we'll step back in time and enjoy the beauty of this storied Colorado landmark. Tonight, feast on a delicious German dinner to wrap up an amazing day.
Day 4 // Silverthorne, CO
Today we travel to Leadville to visit the National Mining Hall of Fame & Museum. You'll have free time for lunch and exploration in historic downtown Leadville before boarding the Leadville Railroad for a scenic mountain ride.
Day 5 // Limon, CO
The morning starts with a ride on the Georgetown Loop Railroad, a historic narrow-gauge landmark. We will have a group lunch at a local favorite restaurant.. The final stop of the day is Buffalo Bill's Museum and Gravesite, offering a mix of Western history and panoramic views.
Day 6 // Home
After a week of exploring mountain peaks and historic railroads, today is dedicated to your return journey.
