Itinerary
This Branson getaway is packed with unforgettable entertainment, highlighted by the spectacular David show at the stunning Sight & Sound Theater. You will also enjoy lively shows like Hot Rods & High Heels and SIX, plus a visit to the Ralph Foster Museum for a touch of Ozarks history.
Day 1 // Branson, MO
The two-year run of David at Sight and Sound Theater is coming to an end. The reviews have been impressive, applauding the spectacular sets, live animals, colorful costumes, and talented actors that have given the production a powerful reputation that reaches far beyond the little town of Branson. If you haven't made it to David yet, this is one of your final chances before the last curtain call closes in mid-October.
Day 2 // Branson, MO
We begin today by stepping back in time again. The 1950's was exemplified by the birth of Rock & Roll, poodle skirts, big hair, and flashy cars. 'Hot Rods & High Heels' will give you a taste of the soda shop vibes that were all the rage for the youth back in the day. Speaking of youth, this afternoon takes us back to our college days….namely the College of the Ozarks. Known for their untraditional program of students working in exchange for tuition, your lunch today will be served by some of the students before we head to the Ralph Foster Museum. Dedicated to the history of the Ozarks, this museum is full of a wide variety of treasures. One of the most well-known artifacts is the original truck from the television series, 'The Beverly Hillbillies'. Tonight's final stop will find us at the show 'SIX', where several brothers will serenade us with acapella renditions of some well-known tunes. Country, gospel, rock, pop, and more will be performed by this 'Orchestra of Human Voices' for us to enjoy.
Day 3 // Home
We head home today, but a stop at the massive Bass Pro Shop in Springfield will help break up our drive. The original flagship store has five separate, free museums scattered around inside the store, so there is plenty to look at even if you don't want to shop. Settle in your seats and relax on the journey home as our driver navigates the traffic, leaving you free to chat with your new friends and reminisce about another great Village Travel experience checked off your list!
