Tour Overview

Say goodbye to 2026 in the charm of a bygone era! We board the Abilene & Smoky Valley Railroad’s Smoky Valley Limited at Abilene’s historic 1887 Rock Island Depot for a two-hour ride across the Smoky Hill River Valley aboard antique passenger coaches. Dinner is served on board as the prairie rolls past, a festive send-off for the year behind us. Best of all, we’re home well before midnight, with plenty of time to ring in 2027 however you choose!

Some tour days are longer than others but move at a consistent pace. Passengers should be able to easily climb a flight of stairs, stand for short periods of time and walk for reasonable distances, possibly over uneven terrain (cobblestones, gravel, etc).
