Itinerary

Day 1 // St. Louis, MO

Capture a glimpse of the Amish way-of-life as we begin our journey through the heartland to scenic Amish Country.

Day 2 // Champaign, IL

Our route winds through beautiful countryside before crossing the mighty Mississippi. Honor the life and legacy of America’s 16th president with a visit to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library. Visitors are awed by rare artifacts and inspiring exhibits highlighting Lincoln’s political career and private life. We will also visit Lincoln’s Tomb. Grab some lunch as a group and then we dive even further into the legacy of “Honest Abe” with a visit to the Lincoln Home. This was Lincoln’s first and only home and it still stands today with much of the original structure, walls, and foundations remaining. We’ll step inside to get a glimpse of the presidents journey from young lawyer to leader of the United States!

Day 3 // Shipshewana, IN

This morning we will take a basket making class at Teaberry Wood Products. During afternoon free time, explore the numerous shops featuring hand-crafted Amish items. You’ll find everything from hand-crafted decor to one-of-a-kind antiques while shopping in Shipshewana. Later, we’ll indulge in an authentic Amish dinner at the Blue Gate Theatre. The show tonight is a performance of “Dear Soldier Boy”. is a popular, wholesome musical comedy produced by Blue Gate Musicals. Set in 1990 against the backdrop of the Gulf War, the story follows two Amish coworkers who write letters of encouragement to deployed troops, leading to a hilarious mix-up when their pen pals unexpectedly show up to visit.

Day 4 // Shipshewana, IN

Travel off the beaten path during an Amish Countryside Tour, exploring the traditions and craftsmanship that define this remarkable community. Visit local artisans and craftspeople showcasing everything from hand-crafted furniture to unique local goods. Enjoy an authentic Amish homestyle lunch before spending the afternoon browsing charming local shops and discovering one-of-a-kind treasures throughout Shipshewana. Please note that specific activities and stops may vary based on time and availability.

Day 5 // St. Louis, MO

Say farewell to Amish Country today and begin our journey home. First we’ll make a stop at a Tiny Town with BIG Things! Check out the small town charm of Casey, Illinois; home to the world’s largest collection of big things, with eight Guinness-certified titles for the largest objects. See the world’s largest wind chime, rocking chair, mailbox, pitchfork, pencil, golf tee, wooden shoes, giant knitting needles & crochet hook, and much more. Lunch is included today.

Day 6 // Home

Return home with a rejuvenated spirit, souvenirs and new friendships following an unforgettable visit to Amish Country.
