Day 1 // Colorado Springs, CO
Hit the road with the grandkids to see the charm and beauty of Colorful Colorado with our adventure to Colorado Springs for the next 4 days!
Day 2 // Colorado Springs, CO
Now that we’ve arrived at our destination, the adventure truly begins! Today we will head out on an exciting Jeep Tour of the Garden of the Gods. Grab lunch at the Garden of the Gods Visitor Center before we head out for our afternoon ride aboard the Pikes Peak Cog Train. End the day with a delicious dinner.
Day 3 // Colorado Springs, CO
Today we’ll walk on the wild side with a visit to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. We’ll see all the beautiful creatures at a Zoo that was named #4 Best Zoo in North America by USA TODAY. Then we’ll visit a true Colorado Icon, Seven Falls. This series of seven waterfalls tumbles over 180 feet through seven distinct leaps of sparkling water. The falls can be accessed either by traversing 224 steps to the top, hiking the one-mile trial, or by zipping up 14 stories to the Eagle’s Nest observation platform via a swift elevator ride. Next, visit the Wild West Ghost Town Museum to learn the fascinating stories of some of Colorado’s Wild West Ghost Towns.
Day 4 // Colorado Springs, CO
Today we’ll take a trip down South to Cañon City to check out the iconic Royal Gorge. We’ll cross the famous bridge, or partake in an optional aerial gondola ride (weather permitting), and the kids can take time to enjoy the children’s playland, carousel, and Plaza Theater. Lunch will be included at Royal Gorge before heading to dinner and a show at the Flying W Ranch. Be serenaded by an excellent live music performance by the award winning Flying W Wranglers.
Day 5 // Limon, CO
Our final day in Colorado brings us to Denver! Explore the fascinating Denver Museum of Nature & Science, where world-class exhibits showcase everything from ancient dinosaurs to stunning natural collections. Enjoy a delicious included lunch before spending the afternoon at the Denver Downtown Aquarium, where sharks, jellyfish, stingrays, and incredible aquatic creatures await. It’s the perfect ending to an unforgettable Colorado adventure!
Day 6 // Home
Colorado has been so good to us, and now it is time to head back home! With one last drive day you’ll arrive home with so many wonderful memories and stories to share!
